7 kidnapped Egyptian soldiers in Sinai

Egyptian security sources said the North Sinai Governorate Unidentified gunmen kidnapped in the early hours of Thursday morning, seven Egyptian soldiers, three policemen and four soldiers from the army, near the town of El Arish in the Green Valley area of ​​northern Sinai. 

The recruits riding in a taxi when gunmen blocked their way and asked the passengers to present their identity cards. 

Military sources said that the three police officers who were kidnapped belong to the Central Security units of the Ministry of the Interior, which cost the suppression of the demonstrations, pointing out that police and soldiers were on board two different buses. 

Has yet to announce any responsibility for this process or motives of the kidnappers or their demands, but security sources pointed out that the soldiers are working, police and army were on their way from the Egyptian town of Rafah on the border with the Gaza Strip to the outside of Sinai to spend their vacation. 

The same sources pointed out, that the security forces are trying with the help of tribal elders in the region to identify the kidnappers demanding the release of the abducted seven. 

The by nomadic sources, the kidnappers want to release some prisoners in exchange for the release of the policemen and soldiers. 

The Egyptian media have pointed out that Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi summoned the ministers of defense Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Interior Mohamed Ibrahim for an urgent meeting to discuss the kidnapping. 

It should be noted that kidnappings increased to demand ransom or the release of imprisoned Bedouin in the last two years in the Sinai, where security has deteriorated since the fall of the regime of former President Hosni Mubarak in early 2011.
